I need to get some body work done to the Sport and I can't seem to find the paint code for the silver used on 1996 Sport 1100's, Years ago I purchased a silver touch up pen from Color Rite that was listed a '96 Sport 1100 silver but now they only list red as an option:

http://www.colorrite.com/matrix-colors. ... N=54233689

Does anyone have the silver color code for the '96 Sport 1100? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you don't get the code, take the panel into an automotive paint shop. They can computer match the paint. Also it will match the amount of fade so the re-painted parts(s) will match the rest of the bike.

Between it ending up on it's side in Daytona about 10 years ago (evil kickstand) and a fall the tail section took off the top shelf from about 6 feet up while in storage, it looks like it's going to be a total paint job. The front fairing and tail section both need work so fade will not be an issue.

Along with the silver paint codes I also need to track down the part # for the '96 Sport maroon/red and gold decal set. The only ones I've been able to locate so far are black and gold.

Any help with that part number is greatly appreciated.

I took a look at a Sport parts manual. It does identify the gold black by color and a code designator, the second part number listed for the decal only gives a different code designator. I'd suggest you contact a long time dealer and see if he has any still sitting on the shelf. That would be the best way to get the color combination you want. My guess is the second code designator will give you the red/god decal, but it is only a guess.
