Hi, after a search of the forum I can find little info on the Agostini megaphone so some questions..

Performance any impact, better/worse, no change ?

Quality , how do they hold up to the rigors of time ?

Sound , loud is good but my last very loud bike was a Tuono with straight through scorpion and was a bit rude

please dont suggest other pipes unless it has very similar styling to the Agostini.

Thanks,
Scot.

Hi Scot, I fitted a Agostini megaphone to my 2011 1200 8v se. It came with a cat that fitted in line and a db killer.

The build quality is excellent, and has survived the winter salt unscathed with the help of ACF 50.

I fitted it without the inline cat,and fitted a BMC air filter. I found the noise without the db killer a little too much, and prefer the nice sound with it fitted.

Performance wise it does seem to breath better, and really shifts from 4000rpm and sounds beautiful.

I had to have the latest map fitted by my local guzzi dealer(Rocket Centre Blackburn) which they did free of charge, as it ran really rough at the bottom end, snatching and erratic tickover, but after the remap ran lovely, returning 40-45 mpg.

I have covered 5000 miles with it now,and not regretted the buy.Agostini are an excellent firm to deal with, they speak English, reply straight away and send out the can within days. I think I paid about £450 inc postage which beats the pants off the ridiculous £760+ for the Termi

Hope this has helped

Pete

Thanks Pete, just what I wanted to know, with cat & DB killer to play with I should be able to get it just right with some tweaking...
