Anyone rocked a Shorai LFX19A4-BS12 in their Griso?

Ive been considering playing with this now that my Yuasa is dropping in voltage.

Normally they would prescribe LFX21A6 battery, which is the 6" long case to match the size of the old acid battery but the 19A4 gives me slightly more Ah than stock, slightly more CCA than stock and means it frees up 3" in the battery compartment.

Im thinking of just fabbing up a little aluminum shelf for it. then you gain a little glove box under the seat for tools, a helmet lock, etc.

I'm still not a huge fan of Shorai. These are OEM replacements and rock solid; https://gtmotocycles.com/collection...tteries+model_griso-1100?sort_by=best-selling

you know the frugal side of me chokes and pukes when I see the prices on top shelf batteries. BUT! being stranded or paying for a tow or calling a friend to drive 400 miles with a new one changes my tune when it comes to saving some $.

True.
Another funny/frustrating side of it is how many argue one how well their 8+ year old AGM battery is still holding up.
Fact: Newer AGM batteries have the shortest imaginable service life these days, as I've witnessed for nearly 10+ years, both in the hundreds of bikes I see at my shop, and on my personal and rental bikes. I've seem them fail in just a few short months up to ~2 years (max), so a new AGM battery every 1~2 years or so adds up fast. I just replaced my first AG lithium battery I put in my personal Stelvio in 2010, then moved it to my 2013 in 2014. I *never even once* put a charger on it in any capacity, even when the bike sat for extended periods of time. The new lithiums are super stable (cold or hot) and have impressive technology that puts them to sleep as needed, and then you have the Restart button should it ever need it.

My experience with a Shorai on my Griso was years ago. But it was not a good experience.
If I was going to try a Lithium battery I would try the AntiGravity batteries that Todd sells. I like the reserve feature they have.
But my experience with quality AGM batteries is very different from Todds. And that is what I use. But I do expect to try a Lithium battery again in the near future. They may have gotten to where they are as good as the high end AGM batteries by now. Previously they weren't, only having the advantage of lighter weight but lacked the power. They seem to have gotten much better at making lithium batteries.

Ive been running them (Shorai) in multiple bikes without issues for 7 years. Was more interested in the idea of buying a little space by making the most of the energy density and getting a smaller casing.
