Aside from displacement, what are the differences between the V50 and the V65?

Same bike, different cylinders or different bike entirely?

Differences - quite a few. Carbs of course. Different gearbox ratios, with most important primary ratio; then, V65 uses needle bearings not ball ones; clutch - bigger spline shaft diameter - so clutch disc too; ignition advance point a few degrees difference; cc capacity not only due to cylinders, but due to stroke as well. By their size both drivetrains are the same, but optically - V50 has 5 fins per barrel, while V65 has 7. So, a gap between downpipes is different too, and their diameter as well. Entirely different air filters. Different swingarm length(early V50 shortest, late V50 inch longer, C and 750s another inch longer), hence driveshafts too!
But there's good news as well, bevel box are NEARLY the same across all models... Nearly:) And starter motor. And there are only two types of generators - Bosch and Saprisa...
