I used to have a 2003 California and had Givi C41 bags mounted to it. Since upgrading to a 2016 Audace, I have been trying to find some nice hard bags. I found the Shad SH36 bags; but even though they have dozens of fitment kits, none would work for the Audace.
I found a local machine shop and had him modify ones made for a Kawasaki 1000 and the results are amazing.

One issue you may encounter.

I'm not sure if it applies to the Audace, but on the Cali 1400 Custom to remove the rear wheel I have to remove the left hand rear shock to be able to remove the rear brake caliper. Assuming your left hand mount is similar to the one on the RHS, this may be difficult without removing the pannier brackets.

Perhaps on a proper workbench you may be able to get around this. I don't have access to one.

Those look great. You will have to move the left bracket out of the way to remove the left shock for new tire figment but I have to with the c bow system also

Shad bags look perfect.
Brian, could you please share the pictures of mounting points?
Is it Kawasaki 1000 Versys?

thanks a lot!

I am 100% impressed at how good that looks, almost as if they should be factory bags.

Love that rear luggage rack, it looks like it would work with most soft tail bags as well. Is that a SHAD branded rack?
