Hi, 1st Guzzi owner, '09V7, Read the info on the Axone system, my dealer has one, does anyone have any experience with the system?? Can you richen up the mixture/trim? with it? 700 mi on the bike and runs good, spark plugs on the hot looking side..regards, Allen

PM our most honoured Mr Roper, who are in possess of such a device.

Also, have a look on the VDSTS, distributed to you by yours truly Mr Eagan.

Besides that; do use the search function on both this and the archived forum; both devices has been discussed very much and often.
For the question; yes you can. :)

Alan have you done or have had done a valve adjustment yet, My V7C and another one that I know of came with extremely tight valves and that will make a bike run hot, You cannot enrich the mixture with the VDTS. Has the TPS setting been checked ? that you can do with the VDTS it should read 3.7 +-1 .

You also posted on another thread about installing a Hepco-Becker center stand but had to make an adjustment, did this mean cutting and rewelding or a simple wrench adjustment ?

Thanks

No, Axone can't richen up the idle trim. The system runs closed loop at idle and the O2 sensor is king. Make sure the TPS is set correctly, (Dunno what system the V7 runs yet so I can't be much help.) and the TB's are ballanced.

The V7C runs the same 15RC that the baby Breva does.

With this information, Pete is absolutely correct. Using the VDSTS software, the trim value cannot be adjusted on the 15RC as with other ECUs. Also with the engine running and monitoring the Lambda voltage and trim value (with VDSTS) you will see the trim value and injector pulse width change when the Lambda voltage changes.

About the idle fuel trim, what would this VDSTS-function actually do?

I'm quite sure I succeeded to make the idling going really bad by using this function...
(Pic is from the TecnoResearch site, but I had the function work when setting the R15R also. Not necessarily knowing what I was doing at the time. )

Check the valve clearance by all means. I had the same experience as Dan.
Could be that they leave the factory set tight for minimum noise for U.S. destined machines (just a guess).

After adjusting mine to the published spec...they now talk a bit but the bike runs much better.
I don't mind hearing a bit of healthy valve train noise. Better too loose than too tight.

The factory synchronization was spot-on. I couldn't have done a better job, so I left it alone.

Holt,

For the 15RC the trim function is grayed out. No adjustment can be made.

For the 15M and 5AM, trim can be adjusted to vary the baseline for injector pulse. It is an electronic screwdriver to set idle mix that has an effect through the rpm range.
