Hi all, I'd like to improve the headlight on my bike. Intrigued by the Cyclops LED bulbs that GuzziTech offers. Any experiences? Problems fitting into the B11 headlight bucket?

I think I need an H7 and H9 bulbs, and I see GuzziTech only offers an H4, but it's listed for the B11 in the store...I presume I can get a H7/9? Preferably from the GT site?

    Thanks,
    Tobin.

I previously had the low beam for my 1200 Sport (same headlight) that I bought directly from Cyclops. This was likely an earlier version than what is being offered now.

The bulb housing that holds the fan ended up melting in mine. I don't believe there is enough airflow around the heat sink area of the bulb if you leave the factory cover in place on the Breva headlight bucket.

I found the headlight pattern did not work for me with the LED at the time. While the light appeared whiter, and possibly brighter, the actual light that hit the road was not as usable. I went back to the standard halogen and have not thought twice about it.

The easy solution is to get the Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited, or the Philips version. These are a straight swap, but give about double the light output.
The other thing to check is that your charging voltage is correct. I got worried about the Norge headlight last year, then discovered the battery was never being charged above 13v. At 13v, any headlight bulb will give vastly reduced light output.

Great info guys. I'll check the charging system, and grab a pair of fancy standard bulbs.

    Thanks so much!
    Tobin.
