I'm attempting to send new fluid from the rear reservoir to the front LH disc on an EV Touring. Yes, I know that I probably shouldn't have removed the old lot first, but what's done is done.

I've tried a brake vacuum unit sitting on the front nipple, and despite getting a little bit of fluid through, it's mostly air. I have teflon tape around the threads, so I don't think the air is getting in there. I've also tried tying the brake pedal down with the calipers hanging off the handlebars, or pumping while shutting the nipple off on the backstroke, but nothing seems to work.

I shudder when I see the bike in the garage, and would welcome any useful tips.
 
I had similar problem on my car, I didn't drain it though. I opened the nipple at the caliper and let it gravity feed down. It took a while but it did work. You may need to remove the caliper and place it on the ground to assist gravity.

A bottle of nice Marlborough white should help pass the time.

If you can find a spare reservoir cap drill a hole in it and fit a tubeless or mag wheel tyre valve, a couple of stokes from a bicycle pump will then be enough pressure to force fluid through the system. Be sure to often check the fluid level and be careful, fluid will find its way out under pressure wherever it can

Or you can make your suction approach work better.
Get hold of a spare bleed nipple. File or grind the bottom off it until you break through into the cavity. (sounds like a long boring task but it only takes 5 minutes. You can then screw this modified nipple tight into the caliper and suck away with no chance of air entering past the threads. Gives a perfect suction solution (though suction does not always suck the air in the system down the pipe). But do keep a close eye on the master cylinder. It is very easy to suck and suck and forget to keep it topped up.

The easiest way is to back fill it. Get a large syringe and some tube which will couple that to the bleed nipple. Fill syringe with clean brake fluid, slacken bleed nipple and pump the fluid back up into the master cylinder.
