I suspect that my Breva 1100 is on its original plug caps & leads and I think its time they were replaced ;)

Can anyone tell me the NGK numbers for the inner and outer plug caps

Cheers

Tris

Dunno about the NGK numbers, but if you do a google search on the MG parts numbers, you'll find a variety of sources.

Part numbers are:

GU05718330 Outer HT wire
GU03717450 Outer Sparkplug Cap

GU05718331 Inner HT wire
GU05717430 Inner Sparkplug Cap.

What's special about the HT wire I have no idea, you could just source the caps first, and then determine whether you require the genuine wire too.

Cheers Dave - I should have thought of starting from there myself :worried:

But if I chuck that into Google images and bit of extra looking about I get

NGK VD05EMH (120 deg compact) for the inner ones

MTA 1000930, 1900930 or 1900920 for the outer ones - they specify them in a bit of a strange way so I'm not sure
I hope its not 1900920 or 1900930 as that means I have to buy 500 of them

I need to sit down and see if I can work out the NGK equivalent for the outers which shouldn't be too hard as I have the NGK catalog now, and don't have to pull the tank to get to them!

Still I'm closer than I was so thanks again

Are you having spark issues? If it isn't broke, why fix it? Wires and caps should be good for many years.

Possibly John. The bike has a funny miss at idle but pulls like a train everywhere else. Doesn't do it every stroke. Compression either side is acceptable. Leads and caps seemed like a reasonable starting point .

One of my inner plug caps (rubber, 45 deg angle) had ripped. Replaced it with NGK LB05EP. hard "plastic", 90 Degr. Fit well, worked fine.
I believe the 50K Ohm is essential, or your ECU may freak out, but not my area of expertise.
Got them from the local Honda dealer. Not expensive.

I think you mean a 5K Ohm resistor cap.
