New to the forum but owning Guzzi's since 1984 including a LeMans 1 & Breva 1100.
Bought a Breva 750 '09 model end of last year, needed something smaller due to age, arthritis and two replacement knees! Just 7800 miles on the clock and 5 careful (male) owners - full MOT history and some years only 600, probably sunny miles ridden between MOT's. I've done a couple of thou since then and am slowly discovering various niggles including missing bolts holding the engine to the frame; seized choke cable which had previously been forced so ripping the itty bitty plastic choke lever - which you cannot get as a separate item:mad:; regulator malfunctioned (chucking out 18v!!) causing completely fried battery:swear: en route home from a rally. This required a new regulator & battery.
I think, having researched on here that the latter issue may possibly have contributed to part of my current issue with the odometer & trip meter, please bear with me as I try to explain... :tmi:

It isn't stuck as such, but the 10's cycle around 7 & 1 & the 100's were stuck on 8... the 1000's are working though!
Thus the last few journeys it has gone from 10810 thru 10819 to 10870 thru 10879 then back to 10810... FINALLY, on the last trip home it clocked over from 10819 straight to 11071, so I'm wondering if the 100's will either now work or be stuck on 0 until I get to 12000. The trip meter displays the same issue with the 10's, but doesn't seem to manage to get into the 100's - just cycles between the 10's & 70's!
I don't seem to be able to zero the trip anymore.
I have not tried any other resets; disconnected the battery or dismantled the dash as yet, thought I'd research a bit more first.

Has anyone else had this weird issue - or can suggest a suitable set of things to test in order to try and track it down?

Apart from this I'm loving being back on a Guzzi again (had a brief hiatus to Triumph when Guzzi released the V7 range - just didn't suit me)
