Breva 750 TPS reset

John's right, there's a quirk in the system where you must use Alfalin 0. Look at the thread he posted. The tips are essential. Try to power through it. I've got a VDST, and enjoy it, although there are some good competitors out there too.

Yes, John, I have reset to the Alphalin_0 channel. Thank you for your reference to another thread to help me understand what the VDST is telling me. I had been using the rather wordy explanation by Eric Mastrocinque but while his explanation became clear he didn't actually tell me how to do the TPS reset. My further research on the web took me to the Technoresearch site where I found the link I referenced in my previous post. It's pretty simple and straightforward.

The Breva ie 750 conversion of my kit car is somewhat unique. Both the mechanical installation and the need the modify the electric harness have required much "try it and see if it works" engineering. It has also been somewhat complicated by not having a fully stocked Guzzi dealer in or near me and having to order parts on line and wait for delivery of those parts. I started this conversion in May, 2013 and while the mechanical portion was relatively east to resolve ( but expensive) the modifications to the electric harness to accommodate the relocation of the electrical components and get the throttle bodies synched and tuned has taken almost six of those previous months. Just a few days ago I was able to start the engine and, after a good warm up, sustain operation thanks in great part to understanding what the VDST is telling me.

One of the remaining issues I need to resolve is the where to place the exhaust balance/expansion tube with the lambda sensor. It just not clear where I can place it. I've been advised to just ignore it but when I read the VDST threads on this website it appears that in order to obtain the proper fuel mixture the Breva ie 750 must have that signal from the lambda sensor. There is no other way control the fuel mixture both for proper operation and fuel economy. I will continue to work on that.

I don't know if this picture will show but if it will you can get some idea of what I am doing. Thanks, bobsbreva750.

A suggestion on your exhaust. Run the headers like a stock motorcycle and near the front, put in a crossover. That crossover will serve two functions. It will improve savaging and low end torque, and give you a location for the lambda sensor.
