Hi,

My Breva is now 9 years old , although not so old to me. I'm about to take the tank off , ( first time explorer) and it has been suggested whilst I'm there to renew all the fuel lines . Sounds reasonable , but there is also the " if it aint broke dont fix it " theory. Any comments from experience? Do these lines generally give any issues from age? or can I go another 5 or 10 years before worrying about it ? Thanks, Dave

The hose in the Breva tank is pretty good and should hold up for many more years. I would inspect the other hoses for condition. If you see cracking, then consider replacement. Other than that, I also believe in if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Dave,

I had to replace mine once. I believe mine was never put together properly from the factory. Look for evidence of rubbing/flat spots on the fuel line. It is hard plastic tubing. If no evidence, leave it alone BUT make sure you put it back so it doesn't rub on anything when you reassemble.

Unless you remove it from the injectors, you shouldn't need to worry

Thanks all,
I'll stick with "it aint broke" but will check carefully re rubbing etc to make sure it stays that way !! - Dave
