Anyone solve the problem of the buzzing sound that comes from th mirrors on the U. S version? I mean bsides the conversion kit back to Euro turn signals. The noise is ridicules but the spring washer set I am envisioning is inside the mirror adjusts is resonating at 3800-4500 rpm. Drives you nuts!

I resisted converting for a long time. Do it, getting rid of the buzz and vibration is great.

+1

There is a dramatic reduction in the rear view mirror vibration withe Aprilia mirrors. I paid about $130 for two turn signals and two Moto Gyzzi Stelvio turn signals from MPHCycles. The parts took about 30 minutes to replace, but would take considerably less time now that I've I done it one. To me this is a mandatory upgrade for all Stelvio owners.

Why do the US Stelvio's have their front indicators in the mirrors, never worked that one out.

Us Brits have ours where they are supposed to be.

I think it's something to do with the distance between them, the Euro version being too close. I seem to remember the stelvio was delayed in the States for this reason.

The reason is stated above, you can thank the US DOT, they got nothing better to do than mess with the consumer and tell us what we need. It's just another way to keep stupid people employed.

I was debating whether or not to change the mirrors.
The vibration is not so bad but getting to me..... and recently I did hear buzzing sound from the bike at a certain speed!

But because I'm a cheap skate. (This come with age) and when I saw the price of the originals:

I took the mirrors, opened the lens, and filled the inside and drain ports with silicone ....as much as I could.
It must of added weight! :cheer:

Should last till they crack.

You could also hellp stabilize the nmirrors by filling the handlebars with "Bar Snake" (I think that's what it's called; it's that stuff you fill the bars with to help with vibration).....

Two great ideas. Thanks Dan and Ben. (I'm cheap too and resisting spending any more money on it at this time). Dan, to take the mirror apart, is it just a matter of going in through the bulb side of the mirror housing? Anyone had this fixed under warranty?

That right ....removed the lens cap , found an opening near the wires and with a caulking gun filled it up.
The tricky part was the drain port holes. The silicone cartridge has to be small enough to fit the drain port.
You will need lots of patients.

A third good idea is to put lead tire weights in the mirror. that was my plan, but I was unable to execute because I couldn't figure out how to get behind the bulb reflector the first time I took it apart. The right mirror broke all to shits before I could take another go at it so I went the replacement route and am much better off.
