Buzzing Vibration in Footpegs / Footrest in 1100 - New Map?

Hello -
I have an incredibly annoying buzzing vibration in my footpegs. Makes an otherwise enjoyable ride, annoying. My goal is to have the smoothest-as-possible ride.

2007 Griso 1100, "older" engine from this model of Griso. Completely Stock.

Background:
Similar buzz in both handlebar grips that killed my hand. Tightened all engine bolts to the correct torque, and the vibration moved from the grips to the footpegs. Made sure the foot rest plates and exhaust pipes were tightened to the correct torque setting.

Valves are properly adjusted: out 0.152 mm and inlet 0.102 mm. (Pocket knife type of feeler gauge)

Next steps:
1) Tighten rear bolts with loctite and of course the correct torque...again.
2) Change all 4 plugs. The 2 outer plugs look black.
3) New Mapping. (Thoughts?)
4) Resetting the TPS (Throttle)

Questions:
Are these next steps a proper course of action considering the goal of as-smooth-as-possible ride?
and
How does one go about locating the latest and "best" map? By best I mean something thats either latest from factory, or one that will give me the smoothest ride. Not one for track days.

No way will I touch any painted or marked bolts and screws, nor throttle body.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

Be safe out there.

-Martin

To find the newest best proven map you click the store tab located above and buy one from Todd at GuzziTech. You wouldn't be disappointed.

You ride an 1100 V twin and want a smooth ride..... Good Luck with your search.
What you have done is good (tightening things up)
You didn't say at what revs or road speed this vibration occures

Have you had the throttle bodies balanced and TPS reset? Balance is key to reducing or eliminating vibration. If you won't do the synchronization of the throttle bodies I recommend taking the bike to someone who can.

If you take all the vibration out of a Guzzi you will have a bike with no soul.

Just for fun try putting your feet on the passenger pegs, except the 1400 Custom all my T series Guzzi's & the Griso have the smoothest ride that way.

Thanks for the tip, John. Was planning on a TPS reset.

Outer plugs, Valve Adjust, TB Balance, TPS Reset will get you started. Waste of time to do anything else before this. But you do know this is a rigid frame mounted Air Cooled V twin tight? That thud thud thud IS what the character of this bike is.
