On the subject of buffeting I've been playing around with my screen for a while and this works well for me. No buffeting at all and I can ride with my modular helmet open all day up to and above legal speeds. On a days ride I may get 1 or 2 small bugs on my sunglasses but that is about it. I am just on 6ft, 184cms and I ended up raising the screen 45mm and pushed it forward at the bottom by 25mm. I can still look over the screen rather than through it. The bigger gap at the bottom lets in more air which may be part of the solution. Pushing it forward 25mm means the winglets are up against the indicators, it's not a problem but I might change the indicators for some smaller LED ones. I was using a laminar lip before but that is no longer required.

Looks like a nice set-up John, and your right, regulating air in through the bottom reduces negative pressure and buffeting. Glad it works, and shared your work space.

My California Scientific windshield has a small triangular hole which reduces the negative pressure. It's down low so the dash deflects the air from coming straight through. I sit in a nearly silent pocket. It's very pleasant but you really have to watch your speed. I often look down and notice I'm doing 140 kph plus in a 90 zone.

Does that bottom plate dig into the plexi or does it sit slightly proud of it?

It is touching but not digging in, it could be packed out a bit with an extra rubber washer if required behind the screen mounts.

I followed your approach and made the tabs from 1/4” thick aluminum flat bar. Very simple and big improvement on buffeting. I am 6’1” and appreciate the noise reduction.

I haven’t done the tabs to tilt it forward yet. Will give it a shot too.
