Just taken my '08 Stelvio for Service/MOT and dealer tells me that the RH cylinder is showing signs of wear, I had noticed it was a bit noisy on the RH side when it was very hot whilst on holiday but was hoping it just needed adjustment, no such luck.
Warranty claim being reopened with Guzzi but it could be anything up to 12 weeks based on worst case dealer experience.

Bike has 100% dealer service record, uses no oil, used all year round so doesn't get condensation build up in the oil and commute is 27 miles so it fully warms up when used.

Can't do much about it but it's a shame the weather is good and I'd rather be on the bike than in the Alfa.

Dealer reckons about £350 labour including dropping the sump and flushing the motor to check for debris, shouldn't complain it could have gone terminally wrong in the middle of Spain and left me with a much bigger problem.

Hi Tim

Yes its a sorry matter but at least Guzzi are standing by it and they did for my 2011 and my partners cams. I got the roller cams which are supposed to be the best according to my dealer (not sure they will fit your 2008 though) and you can see how the cam box looks by seeing my thread on "Has anyone seen this cam set up before" which the little oil leak has now resulted in a "porous" casting.(full details on that thread) I know owning and running a Guzzi particularly the 4 valve models can be a task sometimes but when they go they go well. I guess as its August the Guzzi factory is on about a 2 week shut down like most of European factories so thats probably not helping your delivery situation. Anyhow good luck.
