I would really like to find some cast wheels front and rear that will fit my 96 California 1100.
I prefer them to be the same size either 18" or 17".
Tubeless would be nice, but necessary.
Cal II and Cal III were mentioned last time, but I think some of the sportier models would work also.
Any advice or info appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Sanders

I'd say the CA III would be the closest. They are tubeless, but teh 18 inch rear willl limit your tire choices. The CA II cast wheels require a tube, and the CA II used a smaller diameter tube which may change tehfront wheel dimensions. As for sport bikes, the LeMans Tonti frame machines (Mk III through Mk V) may be a close fit, but again, you will still be faced with the 18 inch rear. You will need to do some measuring of your front wheel to be sure which will be a direct replacement.

:D Thanks for the reply,
I believe I have the clearance for the 18" Rear, I was planning on going to a 130/90 17 on the rear anyway even if I did not find some cast wheels.
Thanks again

Clearance isn't the issue with the 18 inch, it is that not many 18 inch rear tires are made now so your options for tire selection become limited.

John,
You are absolutely right on the tire selection, but the tire that I want for the rear comes in an 18" or 17".
Although I do have a greater selection in the 17" list.
Thanks for the Reply

Ok,
:D Let me try this again, does anybody out there have or know of someone that has a set of cast wheels that I could acquire for a modest price to go on my 96 California 1100 ?
Thanks in advance
