change hadlebars on IV Lemans?

I recently fitted a set of fully adjustable Tarozzi clip ons with the 70mm risers. They are quality items and make riding a lot more enjoyable. At just under $200 AUD they are one of the best investments i've made for the LeMans.

stock fork tubes are 40mm...correct?

Did you have to do any modifications? All hoses, cables and such worked?

If you have any photos of the bike/handlebars would be most appreciated.

Those are the ones. I have aftermarket Brembo clutch lever and front master cylinder which I had to fabricate a spacer for to push it away from the bracket the bar goes through. I'll put some pics up later.
 
Hey Dave, can the vertical rise section be spun around 180 degrees, so the two 6mm pinch bolts face towards you.
If so the master cylinder may fit without the spacer you fabricated.

We may have to go for a ride soon to compare notes.

I think a ride is in order.

Never thought of that, have a look at the pictures, i think it may be possible.

No,not enough room to slide the fork clamps up and the bars would be to low. To do it this way you would have to use the 30mm risers.

The Brembo levers i have are very long. If i were to swap them for shorter levers the master cylinder clamp would fit properly, but i'm happy with the way it is with the spacer, and it works fine.
 
Thanks for the photos....

With the help of a fried today I installed a set of the same clip-ons as well model # 56-0021 40 mm. Everything is fine except the support arm on the clutch side is not wanting to stay put. I I did tighten the allen screw some more but did not want to go past it's limit and break it. Should I have ordered a couple of sizes under my fork tube size or do you have suggestions? I want to make these work as they will really help me out with my riding position as I had hoped for.

I know what you mean, had the same problem. They should be notched so to allow adjustment of 3-4mm at a time. I got to the stage where it would squeak as the bolt was tightened and I thought it was tight enough, but when lifting the bike on the centre stand the bar would move :evil:

Spray the bolt with some lubricant and tighten it until just before you can't no more. You will find that if you don't hold the bar in the place you want it it may move a little as you are tightening the bolt. It's just one of those "nothing is perfect" things.
 
above is a photo taken before with the stock bars on....in the next day I'll upload a few shots with the new bars in place.
