So it's coming to the end of the winter season (soon than later I hope) and the battery will be coming off the trickle charger. Yippee!
Question - I'd rigged up a solar panel with a reasonable 10watt output to a controller unit, to keep the battery topped up. As a precaution I'd removed the battery from the bike but did I need to? No mains-electric in the garage I keep the bike in, just a convenient window from which to draw power.
Was I being overly cautious about the electrical system on the bike? On my previous UJM, I'd have just left the battery in place, terminals connected and plugged the trickle charger into the accessory socket and left it to do it's job. No worries.
Would it be ok to do the same on the Breva in future? Park the bike up, lift the seat, plug in the charger and lock up?
What do you think?
