Pleases forgive me as I am new to this forum, and my searches haven't been productive, 2021 V9 Bobber. I attached the battery harness for a Gerbing jacket but never plugged it in. Then when I went to crank the bike up to ride the engine icon is on and it won't turn over, don't even hear the relay click. I removed the harness, completely disconnected the battery, then re-connected and getting same results. All othe electrical things seems to be working properly, can hear fuel pump run. Check all fuses they look good.

Remove the harness and leave it disconnected, see if the issue persists.

Simple things first. Bike is in neutral and the run switch in the on position? It's likely nothing to do with the connection if the battery voltage is good. From there, check the fuses.

Oh I did, also removed along w/ oem charger harness since it was a different type connector. And the fuse in it was good too- since was never plugged in no current flowed. Effectively all I did was disconnect the battery and re-connect it, got this display I don't think I ever saw before and nothing when hit starter button. That was 2hr ago, no change issue remains.

Todd to the rescue, it wasn't in neutral but somehow I had pushed it around? Must have bumped the shift lever w/o realizng it. The photo shows my error. Thanks so much fellas.

I'm used to bikes that will lurch as if to say "either put in neutral or pull in clutch "if you try to crank in gear, but these new computer controlled bikes don't do that. They scare you w/ error symbol and refuse to budge.

LOL, did that myself awhile ago. Nice to be part of a forum where I can make a bone-headed mistake and people just helpfully help without dumping on you. Love this group
