I removed a lot of crap to clean the stepper valve and thought I might as well remove it once I was in the guts and found a bad kink in the fuel line, but I do have a spare thankfully

I decided to replace the very brittle and inflexible pre formed fuel injection line as my bumbling hands couldn’t put a new one in without it kinking severely. So I carefully cut out the connectors from the Guzzi line and then made up a new set with the o rings on and fuel injector clamps. Together with taking off the stepper motor and cleaning it out as well as the connectors to the intake manifolds and cleaning out the 2 drain holes at the back of the tank to allow better venting, the bike runs so much better at low throttle openings and indeed smoother throughout.
Guzzis can give even amateur hacks like me a lot of satisfaction, never mind skilled technicians like Todd, Scott et al.
I hope that this helps some of the amateurs on this site
