Moto Nexus in Hendersonville, NC is no longer a Moto Guzzi dealership. Their sole business now is golf carts. How did I find out? I brought my 2011 Stelvio in for it's first service in August. There was a warranty issue with paint bubbling up around the gas tank filler area. John at Moto Nexus said it was approved for warranty replacement and he would order the part when I dropped the bike at the shop. Five days later when I picked the bike up, he said the part was back ordered and had to come from Italy, he would call when it came in. Last Thursday, October 11th, I called the shop to enquire as to the status of the part and was told "Sorry, we're no longer a Moto Guzzi dealer, we can't help you" He also said the reason they didn't contact us was he didn't have our e-mail address. They had sales and service records, so they could have easily contacted me.

While this is sad that a dealership closed, it may be good since these guys were very weak in customer service. Now the nearest Guzzi dealership is two hours away. I just hope they are worth the travel time.

No, Matthews Fun Machines in Matthews, NC is now the closest Guzzi dealer to Lake Lure, NC.

Ok, I know nothing of Matthews, but can say unequivocally that Rider's Hill in Dahlonega, GA is the Premier Guzzi dealer in sales and SERVICE in the south east. Hop on WildGoose Chase join and explain your situation, You may get some opinions about Matthews but I know my opinion of RH will be backed up.

I'll back up Dan's opinion right here, right now...
RH will step up for you.
They have a good stock of parts (Imagine that) and are a good bunch of folks.

Good luck.

Thanks for the information, guys. I did some checking on Matthews Fun Machines and saw some pretty bad reviews and got a uneasy feeling about them. I will be riding the extra distance to Riders Hill, they seem to be a bike riders shop rather than a four wheeler and generator sales shop.

I've posted a longer version of this elsewhere on the forum but the readers digest version is:

Riders Hill is outstanding!

New Cali broke 250 miles from Riders Hill. They paid a $450.00 tow bill to get it back to them & then after the warranty repair was done put it on a trailer and delivered it to my house which is a 7-1/2 hour ride!!!!!!!!

Support these people!!!
