Please excuse my lack of the technical vernacular. I've searched the forum and can't seem to find any information on clutch adjustment on the V7 Racer. Upon inspection I do not see a lower cable adjustment. It looks as though the cable just feeds directly to the clutch arm. I have adjusted the handle free play to 3 mm, but this has left a 20 mm gap exposing most of the threads on the adjuster. I have read that typically you should not use the adjustment at the handle for other than fine tuning leaving no more than 1/4".

I'd appreciate any advice as I had to tighten the cable that much so the bike would actually slip into neutral! My dealer said this is normal, but I'm not so sure.

Oh BTW... the cable was laying on the header just like was pointed out on this forum. I lifted it off with a cable tie so it doesn't melt! Great Tip! Looks like the 2014 has a big rubber heat protector.

Thanks!

There is and adjuster where the clutch arm contacts the clutch push rod. Probably a devil to get to, but it is there. Get some slack at the hand grip, then adjust up a bit at the clutch arm.
