Just got it firing!
One of my nits with my new to me '06 B11 was the clutch engagement at the very end of the lever travel (farthest away from grip). Although it modulated well with no signs of clutch slippage, going from Triumph to the Guzz' was causing havoc in that I'd stall on one and over-rev the other when starting off. Reading thru the forum I found the plunger at the clutch master cylinder (handlebar) was where one could make adjustments to bring the lever closer to the grip for hooking-up the clutch. There were two issues I ran into straight away.
1. Commonly known plunger to barrel being seized (really seized!). With a little Aero Kroil soaking, time, a heat gun, and a few taps on the screwdriver handle, I was able to get it apart without stripping anything.
2. The OEM lever doesn't really have enough room at the bottom of the clevis "U" (see photo) to allow the plunger to be backed away from the master cylinder (direction to have the lever closer to the grip for clutch engagement). With a small file, I was able to deepen the bottom of the "U" to allow the plunger to be backed away without contacting anything throughout the barrel rotation.
May explain why the Guzzi's Iv'e ridden all seam to hook-up their clutches further away from the grip than other makes.
Hope this helps and don't forget the anti-seize
PS - If you're wondering why the clutch lever looks different it's because the previous owner had it "trimmed" with a tip-over.
