g/day , my 750 breva takes up to 5 minutes to warm up , i also have to use the choke to start even hot weather, is this normal for fuel injection ? after its warm it pulls like a16 yo. also pops on overrun , any hints thanks baz .

The early 750 Brevas are cold blooded. The choke isn't a choke, just a fast idle setting. To start mine, we just press the starter button, then slowly open the throttle. That seems to work pretty well. It does take some time to act "warm". Placing some thermal mastic under the engine temperature sensor does help. A friends 2007 Breva does not exhibit being so cold blooded, but it does take a little while to run normally. The stepper motor systems on the big brother breva, et al, seem to eliminate the problem.

Also have you had the throttle bodies set up properly? The procedure is about the same as the big bikes. Don't touch the left idle stop. It requires and Axone or VDSTS setup to do the job properly. See here: https://www.guzzitech.com/index.php?op ... =1776#1891

This thread contains a link to the procedure from the old forum.

My 2005 Breva 750 does not behave like you describe. I have never used the "choke" switch. It reaches idle rather quickly at 1.000-1.100 rpm. Does not like to go before that.

I can see you're living in Austrailia. Hard to believe you can have any COLD starts there at the present.. .
If the TPS etc are correctly adjusted you shouldn't have any problems at all. See Johns posting.
Also check the spark plug gap. I've found my Breva to be quite sensitive about that, and a 0,65mm gap to be the best.

My 2003 Breva starts easily without "choke" after 3 months standing... and it takes that always.

Mine ran the same way. But not anymore install a Power Commander and all the problems are gone. It even runs smoother in traffic going up and down thru gears.
