Contacting MG

Hi All

As you may have noted I've had a few issues with my V7C and felt the need to contact MG personally through the Piaggio website. Having been involved in the customer service side I've learned that (1) the customer isn't alway right, and (2) the customer isn't always wrong.

Most companies, whatever their size, have to take note of customer feedback and I found Piaggio in this instance responded positively to my concerns which I think is encouraging. I understand that MG want to improve their image and sales of motorcycles and that can only be good for us owners, right? Perhaps if more of us let them know directly what they do right and what they get wrong some of the more irritating aspects of MG ownership can be put right.

I know that if I had just listened to what other motorcyclist had said about Guzzis I'd still be riding a BMW or whatever, but I'm glad I didn't even after the problems I've had. I'd like to see more people riding Guzzi's because I like them and I think others would too once they'd ridden one. But that would take an improvement in image regarding reliability and perhaps more importantly, a greater number of really good dealerships.

Just my two penceworth on the matter. Cheers, Paxo

I completely agree with this. I've posted on the GT forums before about my positive experiences with MG corporate in NYC. After a total circus act with my Griso, it was finally all correct and I too sent in a letter expressing my thanks to the Moto Guzzi team.

I also agree. Mostly we concentrate on things when they go bad and that’s quite understandable. But when thing go well, particularly on this issue of MG/Piaggio responding well, we should credit them accordingly. I continue to think that they make some very fine motorcycles.

They make wonderull bikes - but too under appreciated. More exposure needed.

Saluti :)
