CycleWorld V100 First Ride Report

I love most of the look of the new bike. Except, those valve covers are straight out ugly in my opinion.

Also that LCD is hideous. I really wish they had not jumped on the "iPad" on the handlebar band wagon.

"but there was an impression of smoother airflow at waist level when the wings were out". BWAHAHAHA, thank goodness someone finally made it less windy for my waist. That is certainly a selling point. Sorry, just another gizmo toy to break. No double requiring months of waiting for a $1000 part.

All in all, I like it. But I'm not interested in buying one. I want a Norge.

Scott if you ever want to sell one of your Norges, I'll fly down and buy it.

I was hoping to have one of these later this year. But if they are just now giving out the first ride on a pre-production bike, I don't expect to see this bike in the States any time soon.

This looks like the perfect complement to my Honda CTX. I'll use the Mandello primarily on the backroads and the Honda V4 primarily on the highways. This new Moto Guzzi looks like it will be great on the twisty roads here in Appalachia, while also being capable of making an occasional trip to Texas or Maine or even Alaska.

I plan to add the saddle bags and maybe a taller windscreen to the Mandello. That way I'll be more comfortable on the longer rides. The plan is to trade my Niken GT for the V100 Mandello.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm more excited about this new bike than anything else I've seen in several years.

I mostly agree... but I do find that, in the rain, my waist and crotch area does get pretty wet. I wonder if these would help with that.

I am looking forward to riding this beauty on my own. The feeling this will be replacement for my current bikes is stronger and stronger. My needs from a bike is good travel capability with easy luggage attachment combined with agile and sporty ride sometimes and it seems V100 could nail it.

I'm somewhat interested but I really need to see one up close & personal.
No idea what the price will be, but I suspect they will be really proud of the price point.
Was that a radiator as in water cooled? I'm not usually a "Red" kinda guy but I must admit
that I thought it looked really fine in red. I guess time will tell if one comes to town.
