Hi all,

maybe we are not all together here yet, but I am sure that in a few days we will...

I am thinking seriously of buying a Daytona RS. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Is there anyone that owns this bike here in our forum?

Any info would be very helpful..

Thank you

Dimitris

There's a handful of our regulars here that own the older 4V'er Dimitris. Weak link is the oil pump, and the fact that not many OEM engine parts are not available any more. So best to buy more then one. ;)

Sean F & Pierre P posted photos of the revised oil pump mod that Sean did here in the States.

There's also a Aussie Centauro Forum that you can search as well.

Keep us posted.

RS Style looks with the old style motor, can't go wrong........................... I miss mine :(

A friend of mine has a 4 valve Daytona. He has plenty of miles on it with no issues. I rode it when he bought it new. First Guzzi I had ever ridden (him too). It's why I have Guzzis today. But it is very different from a V11. If he ever sells it I would like to buy it.

Guys,

Finally I decided to leave the Daytona RS and a few days ago I purchased the 1100 sport, Rosso, with 29.000 km on the block, still waiting to arrive from Germany. I can't wait.
Fisrt thing to do is a good service (new iridium plugs, new airfliter, engine-gear box and transmission oil, check brake pads, brake fluids) and a new set of Mistral carbon mufflers (for a start).

Do you think it's a good idea og changing the crossover also?

Is there anything else I should be aware of?

thank you!

dimitris

yes change the cross over, just my opinion........................ enjoy the bike, hope you have many fun fillled miles

Hey Dimitris,

Sounds like you're starting a harem, erm stable.

How are you going to do to ride 'em all? I'm too far off to offer a helping hand in that department (in fact, I'm closer to Germany than you are ... hint hint, nutch nutch, knowwhatImean knowwhatImean :silly:)

Hahahah! You could say so! And the strange thing is that nowdays "harems" are characteristic not only for eastern people, since there are many with....analogous "harems"...hahahahah

hehe, but you know that the (middle) east has always been good at exporting concepts ... the zero ... religions ... shadors ... harems ... I'll let the reader decide what's good and what's not-so-good ;)
