A little early for this, I would think, but who knows how old the fluid was or whether or not Luigi used fresh fluid. The bike is a 2012.

.........or how hard you use your brakes. Or UV breakdown. Or the quality of the fluid. Or..........

Doesn't matter what fluid you use or how new it is, boil it one time from extended and/or hard brake use and it will be dark/burned and ready for a change.

The resevoir, brake line and caliper on the V7 maybe hold around 2 to 3 ounces of fluid. Not a lot of volume and easy to get hot. What does you front resevoir look like? Most likely a lot lighter in color due to the farther distance and larger volume of fluid. I would however bet that if you bled the front caliper the 1st shot of old fluid would be black.

The resevior for the hydraulic clutch on my 848 would turn fresh fluid black within 200 miles of changing. Clutch never felt any different.

I hardly use the rear brake at all. It doesn't sit in the sun. When I ride it to work, I put a cover on the bike. The front was much better looking. So, who knows? At least its out where I can see it.

My clutch fluid looked the same after only 3 months on my 2012 Stelvio. Changed it and all was good. Thinking they don't use the best quality fluid or they had a problem with moisture in the fluids. Have not had a chance to look at the brake fluids but don't look as dark from the outside.
