Does anyone have, or know where I can find, an accurate template for cutting the dipstick access hole in a 2007 Norge fairing? I think I remember reading, before acquiring my Norge, that Guzzi furnished or has a template. Or, am I dreaming that Guzzi would provide anything free???

Rather than cutting the fairing I just bought the longer dipstick that I could reach from outside the fairing. I purchased one from TLM because they had them first but the small ID made changing oil a pain. I think Harpers or somebody has a larger diameter long dipstick. The drawback is they definately are not free. I checked Todd's store and didn't see any.

I have a 2007 Norge. I purchased a new dipstick to replace the original and a fairing hole cut-out template came with it. I never used it because I then purchased a Stucchi dipstick for approx $200.00 that worked well. Therefore I still have the the original dipstick and template. If you are interested please contact Ken at gandkr@shaw.ca.

I am new to this forum but I am in the process of making a dipstick for my Norge 07. I will post pics soon. Is costing next to nothing but needs a lathe to make it work. I'm using the original plastic dipstick drilled with a half inch tube and some metal rod as a gauge.

Great news. I'd love to see your design. I have access to a complete machine shop so turning will not be a problem.

DSCN1224 DSCN1225 DSCN1234 DSCN1225 Well, not much there really. Quite simple in fact. First 2 pics are with a one quarter inch copper tubing
with the dipstick installed. Then I realise that I would have to remove it when comes the time to fill back the oil in. So made a second one with a bigger half inch tubing. May take some time to fill the crankcase but this doesnt happens often.
