Easter Oregon Fall Ride on a Norge

Greetings all. I'm a newbie here. Just bought a used Norge and got to know it on a 3 day ride in eastern Oregon before the crappy weather set in. Trip report here:

I'll be perusing posts here as I've got some winter maintenance coming up (valve adjustment, oil/filter change, etc.), and I have the pulsing front brake issue.

Happy to be here. Love the Norge.

Been thru the center of Oregon many times in my Cage(car), never on the bike. Very nice area thru there and that looks like a lot of fun.

FYI...i bought a used 2007 Breva 750 and i also had the front pulsing brake issue you mention. I posted here and a couple of guys shared what they thought the issue was and they were right on! First make sure the disc is clean of any build-up and then ride....Over a period of time, in my case only about 750 miles the issue went away. It was simply lack of use. I ride almost everyday and not sure if the pad simply has worn more even or what but it is no longer an issue. Welcome to the Guzzi family....

Well, I did the full treatment on my rotors. I removed them and abraded them with a scotchbrite pad on a drill. Then sprayed each bushing with carb cleaner and spun them with the bolt in a drill trick so they're loose. Then cleaned them with acetone. Then mounted them on the opposite side from where they were originally. The pulsing is better. It's not gone completely, but I'm happy.

I cleaned and spun the buttons on my Breva 1100 several times over a month or so. 40,000km on them now and they're perfect.
