OK Folks, I'll have a confirmation on Monday or Tuesday about my ability to manipulate the 5AM ECU. Here's what I will likely offer, and explanation why:

I will be able to offer a ECU swap program, and a new PC-V for $1000~1200 USD. The ECU exchange will include revised timing and disabled 02-sensor input, which will allow use of the PC-V (allowing dyno-tuning or AutoTune option for $250 USD - as shown at the bottom). This will allow *you* to build the map you need, though I'll offer it in one or two variations for each model (i.e. Stock or with slip-on and...) I will also offer a $55 open-lid airbox conversion, which will include a CNC alum. ring. Open-lid airboxes have shown 4~5 hp/torque on the older 2-valve Calis with proper fueling revisions.

I feel this is the best solution, as I cannot spend the time on the dyno developing maps for every configuration. I will have thousands invested to do this, and need a solid pre-order count (likely with non-refundable deposit) to do this. Of my 8+ years on the dyno with Guzzis, *EVERY* bike needs it's own map, even bone stock or otherwise. How many would be interested in the whole kit including the airbox kit? Post below.

AutoTune Module & PC-V:

This is the user screen for the AutoTune module that allows *you* to set the target A/F Ratio to build your own map:

Looks like the Autotune module has it's own lamda probe that's active throughout the fuel range, not just at the bottom 1/3 or so(OEM) and adjusts pulse width with positive feedback to the PC-V throughout the entire range. Is that about it, more or less?

How accurate is it compared to a dyno map? Will it remap if you change exhaust, air box, filter, etc? If so, it's a heck of a deal, as one trip to the dyno usually costs darn near that price!

OK, the discussion about this project is a bit all over the place, but this question is in relation to Stelvio type travel - so here goes.

My real purpose for wanting to install this on the Breva is not really because I want that Breva to go faster or better given my decidedly ghumby riding style, but actually as a test bed for later install on a Stelvio, although I have to admit if it makes the B engine sing an even better tune, I will be one happy chappy!

To explain..... In this big brown land high octane fuel (usually 98 and often 95 octane) is fairly readily available in the larger country towns, but if you venture further afield it often becomes hard to find. Venturing even further afield, let's say Malawi in Sub Sahran Africa, 87 or even 85 octane is the norm and anything above 90 will probably be a rarity.

Which leads me to my question - I intend to use the system to have switcheable mapping for high/low octane fuels, will it do this in the form on offer, and how effective do you think it might be at solving the low octane fuel problem in the far flung corners of the globe?

John, I learned a little more about the AutoTune on Friday. Yes, the AutoTune's wide-band lambda will auto-adjust the map constantly revise the fueling as you ride. Most Dyno Tuning Centers are now using this same sensor to build maps, so it is perfectly accurate. There's more to it too... see this thread; https://www.guzzitech.com/index.php?op ... 0&id=17516
Taking deposits NOW... I'll only be ordering deposited units.

No takers for a Stelvio PC-V/ECU... really?

Todd: (Not whining) As much as I would like to install I just don't see the disposable at the present time.Unfortunately.
