Congratulations Ed. Great to see you and other Guzzi enthusiasts working so hard to put Guzzi out there. Too bad MGNA sits on the side and offers no support yet gets a gain in product recognition. From what I understand Bill Ross has been told by the factory backed Harley team that his records will be targeted this year. Yet he's out there alone. Moto Guzzi (Piaggio) needs to jump in and support you guys even if it's just covering your entrance fees.

Dude, you are so right! Considering the ridiculous amounts of money spent on advertising, some help to the racers would go a long ways. It would be too cool to start the Guzzi website video with a montage of V-8 bike, then Bill ripping down the salt, and Ed knee-dragging a curve. Like the old adage of "'Race 'em on Sunday...sell 'em on Monday"....

I bet they have footage of the Guzzi's that won the endurance racing back in the early Loopframe days. I remember that, and it had some influence on me when I found my first Guzzi.

Yeah, it makes it tough making the square pistons to fit them square barrells, that's why ed and sean are so good.... I hear the square piston rings are the real tough part....:)

Anyone know if Ed will be racing that bike anywhere else in the Southeast this year? I'd love to see it.

This V65 has the the 52 hp motor documented here: http://guzzitech.com/V65dyno3.html
and it uses many of the parts that I developed for small blocks- sump spacer, tapered roller steering head bearings, head guards...Sean Fader updated rear drive, Marzocchi 35mm damper rod front end, front 17" dymag wheel, tallest small block gearing known to mankind, yadda yadda yadda

I have no immediate racing plans for the rest of the year. I'm still tired from Daytona.

    thanks,
    Ed
