Does anyone have a photo or documentation as to where the multimedia module is placed on a 2017+ Cal 1400? I'm fairly sure the Audace, Eldorado, and California Touring would be in the same location. The MGX-21 has it located in the fairing, so that is different. I have the module, and have found the plug, but have no idea where it is supposed to be located on my California Touring. I want to make sure it is secure without the risk of damage from vibration and such.

Hi, sorry I can't help here. But, I have a 2014 California (pre "multimedia module"). WHAT does the multimedia module do? how does it help?

If you can't answer, can anyone else fill me in on this?

    Thanks!

There should be an additional two unused plug somewhere around the battery.

One is for programming the other is for the multimedia setup.
The unit itself is then mounted behind one of the side covers on a bracket which is in the mounting kit.

Got one but cant use it as mines a pre 2014 after which they spliced in the additional wires.
Being Can Bus i'm not willing to play with the loom.

But if anyone state side sees one being wrecked with the wiring loom available let me know.

Well, apparently there are no factory instructions for fitting the module on the Euro4 California. I don't know why Guzzi has to be so top secret with its accessory instructions. Triumph publishes them all online, all you have to do is plug in the part number. It's not like it takes away from dealer installation; if anything it can show how complicated some things are ahead of time and prompt an installation appointment before diving in.

Anyway, after much looking around, I settled on zip-tying it to the frame rail next to the battery. You will have to remove the battery and side cover for good access. It is the best spot for the size of the module, the location of the plug (no strain on the harness), and out of the way of the battery cables and everything else. I put some rubberized tape on the back to cut down on any chafing and to isolate it a bit. Hopefully this makes things easier for someone else looking.
