Just got it firing!
I've had my 2013 V7 Special disassembled for a couple of months while waiting for parts, and have lost my notes, so a few quick questions on some evap plumbing:
I removed the evap cannister years ago. I have the tank off now for a metal fuel filter replacement, and am ready to put the whole thing back together. Unfortunately the parts manual doesn't illustrate the unified system, but separate sub-systems (pages 27, 36, and 57 in the parts manual GU101)
1) There are two vent pipes on the fuel tank. If I recall correctly, the pipe that is furthest forward towards the top on the right side has a long hose that is connected to a one-way valve (not sure which way!), part number 860138, and then connects to the EVAP cannister (or in my case, vents to atmosphere).
Is this description correct?
2) the rear vent pipe vents to atmosphere? Seems odd, is there something I'm missing?
3) The throttle body vent hits a valve described as a 'choke hold' in the parts manual (part number
AP812126) then connects to the EVAP cannister. What does the choke hold do? Is it possible to simply plug the hole in the throttle body?
Any other plumbing that can be eliminated? I'm running a GT ECU reflash and de-cat exhaust.
Cheers!
Eric
