Everything a Stelvio owner needs to know in one post

Issues with centre stand? Mine snapped two weeks ago!

Are there any manuals available?

I've heard of center stand problems on the Stelvio. A search of the forum may ture up specifics. As to manuals, check the Download tab.

There is a tsb on the center stand among other things. Needs to be re-enforced/replaced. Think it is still at Guzzi expense but not sure. Best to ask the dealer. There was a new design with the addition of a gusset.

Hi Guys..........just acquired a 2009 Stelvio with 18k miles on it. I appreciate this "everything to know" list for sure, but I'm wondering if perhaps someone can add some tips / tricks to dealing with the alarm system. Even my dealer doesn't know how to set both my keys to work. So far I can only start the bike with the key fob button...........seems like I should be able to just turn a key (they do seem to have a chip in them). Past lurking here led me to a thread (I don't remember where) where someone else was frustrated with the alarm and just wanted to remove it. I have to admit I can sympathize. I live in a semi rural area and security is never an issue. My 61 yo eyes, even with readers, cannot see the diagram of "key on, key off" pictorials well enough. Any advice ? Or where in the forum to look ?
Otherwise I really enjoy the bike. Apparently I need to do some homework and find out if I have roller tappets, an A5 or A8, and do some water-proofing of electrical components. Previous owner was very conscientious and wrote down all valve adjustments, oil changes etc.
I should mention I also have a Triumph Thunderbird (2010). Both the "guzzi" and the "bird" have the same rattly whine at speed, which I consider normal after reading other biker's posts.

All, There seems to be a need for a "what new owners need to know" and "quick reference for existing owners" all in one post. If something similar already exists let me know but I'm going to assume not at this point.

Doesn't most of this information exist in the owner's manual and/or the service manual?

I think you really need to specify tire pressure more accurately. ;)

Regarding the spoke nipples, here's some important information: "The gasket (#90 - spoke nipple) is a standard OR-2025-NBR (American Norm AS 568 A Cod. 010). Oil the seating and gasket with a standard grease PTFE"

I just bought a 2016 Stelvio NTX. Here is what I have learned to address from this and other sites;

1.) Grease the steering head and swing arm bearings with a good quality grease.
2.) Put a fuse in the wiring for the driving lights and/or replace them with LED lights.
3.) Replace the spark plug caps with NGK SBO5F 8080.
4.) Relocate CARC breather if you do lots of water crossings.
5.) MRA XScreen spoiler to calm the buffeting.
6.) Euro turn signal conversion.

I also ordered a MIVV Speed Edge in black w/catalyst insert as I read that this engine likes some back pressure.

Anything else?
