I do not want to panic people, but a few people on a F.B. V100 site seem to have suffered a fracture of the exhaust system, just behind the cat where it meet the silencer.Seems to be related to expansion and vibration, and occuring after a few thousand miles. Is there any way to prevent this,as it seems that the metal is quite thin at this point.I was wondering if it could be reinforced somehow,or is it a case of just replacing the entire system as and when someone develops an alternative exhaust,or Guzzi take note and do something.

More first year teething pains. Doesn't surprise me one bit. The only way to work out the bugs is to release a product to the general public and watch and learn.

If it was the post of the silencer completely broken away from the CAT spigot, and hanging from the passenger footpeg mount, I saw that. He was lucky it did not cause a major problem for him. Another Quality Control issue, which should not have been out in the general public. Guzzi could have had a lawsuit on their hands if that had caused him to crash. Maybe more R&D was in order???
