Hi have a 1100i sport that will fire but stalls after about 2 seconds. Any suggestions? I have flushed the tank, cleaned the petcock screen, checked the filter, etc and gas seems to be flowing ok,

Thanks!

Not much information to go on. After you start, if you open the throttle will it continue to run or is it just an idle issue?

John,
Even when throttle rolled on it stumbles and dies. I was on a ride when it first happened, luckily two blocks from home. I will choke it, hit the started with a bit of throttle. It will fire and even w added throttle it will run for a sec or three then die every time. It won't run for more than 5 or 6 seconds.

My mechanic had installed a creedon chip and she ran ok for several weeks and now not so much.

Start with basics. See if you have 45 PSI in the fuel system after the fuel pump and before the injectors. The system should hold this pressure with the engine running. If not, faulty fuel pump or pressure regulator. If it holds pressure, then you start to look at the ignition system. Could be the chip has a problem. If you still have the stock chip, try that and see if the issue continues.
