I searched this forum to see if this topic has already been touched on, didn't find anything...
This rumor surfaced in September of this year, and as always is denied by the parties concerned. Not sure if Sergio Marchionne would be good for Piaggio (and MG) or not. Marchionne certainly has drive and enthusiasm, but he isn't going to be around much longer, and in any case .who knows what his understanding of the 2-wheeled world is. I gather there are folks within the Ferrari organization who are less than pleased with Signor Marchionne. A Piaggio acquisition perhaps would be a preemptive move, given Audi's acquisition of Ducati, and now MB's interest in MV, but who knows...
