My 85 Le mans has a oil/pneumatic fork and I am trying to understand why it is bottoming out if I brake suddenly. It is clear that when this happens the top part of the fork is hitting something hard. I added air at the required pressure and may have to replace the fork oil. Besides that anything else I should look for? I confess I have not looked at the design in detail before asking this question. I assume there is a spring that should limit or prevent this from happening. I will take any clue and report back!
Thanks
