Tuned and Synch'ed
Well it's been a couple of weeks now and about 400 miles on the Bobbler. Have to say that this bike has been just what I was looking for. Easy to push around in the garage and very handy in parking situations. I don't have to think ahead now as to where I park. Big OK on those issues.
I was a bit concerned about going from the 8V engine to the smaller mill on the Bobber but as it has turned out that was not as big a deal as I thought. For its size the Bobber has felt more than lively enough for me. As others have said it does indeed seem to punch above its class in the performance area. The smooth power delivery and six speed trany do a nice job of providing a very satisfying ride. And the sound of the stock exhaust is just plain cool. No need to rush out and spend another 1k on an upgrade for a better sounding set of pipes. Looking forward to seeing how things go as the engine breaks in and things loosen up. So far so good.
