Just removed the fuel pump/filter assembly from my 2014 V7 Racer only to find a white deposit on the mesh filter and suspended in the fuel. Any ideas.

If it looks like foam, that's what it is found in the plastic/fiberglass composite type. Changed a bunch of filters and you find this stuff. Metal tank? no idea, unless you use Sta-bil. That stuff dries to a white powder as found in gas caps & carbs.

Looks and feels more like hand cream. Steel tank and don't use additives. Emulsified condensation?

There's no white stuff in my V7II's metal tank after 28,000+ miles. Contamination does seem to be the likely source of your problem. However, I live in the US and I know nothing about what additives are added to UK petrol, Do other metal-tank bikes in your area report this problem?
