Fuel injection issues with early 90s Californias

G'day. I'm new to Moto Guzzi having owned a BMW R 90 S back in the day, so please excuse me if these questions are basic.
I've been looking at 90s Californias, primarily the carbie model and I've not seen anything in my state that seems worthwhile pursuing. I have seen a fairly straight fuel injected Cali (1994) but was wondering: 1. What is the longevity of the fuel injection system if it hasn't been worked on? 2. If work does need doing, how expensive might it be and what is the availability of parts? 3. If I buy this, what sort of preventative maintenance can be done to keep the fuel injection system running well? Any input is appreciated. Cheers

Basically same as my 98, at 65Kmi I changed 10' of fuel line & filter. The stock line had cracks in it from age, same with the crankcase vent lines I swapped out last year.

Other than old fuel injection line replacement and a through professional fuel injection injector cleaning and pattern balancing, the systems are fairly bulletproof.

There really isn’t anything to “work on” in an early Moto Guzzi California FI setup.

As stated above plus eventually the TPS might wear out(high mileage), the cam shaft position sensor can give up due to its location close to the left cylinder causing a no start condition(15 minutes to replace) and the crank sensor might pick up some metal slivers from the flywheel gear (5 min cleaning job)but I think that's really it. The parts are reasonably priced(not sure about the injectors), made by Marelli (the part numbers are embossed on them) and some are interchangeable with FI parts from certain Harleys and Fiats/Alfa Romeo's. Most likely the Cali has the P8 computer which is also used by some Ducati's.

Thanks for your input guys. Sounds like replacing the fuel injection line and a proper clean of injectors would be a good start. The bike has low miles (45K) but has been sitting for 3years. Cheers
If it's any help, my 80th (2002) had only 14k on the clock, (purchased Dec 2021) just the filters were replaced, and the EFI settings changed (was running a bit rich) no issues with it otherwise.
