-- Just doing my annual clean up of BB, but always seem to get leakages at joints no matter how well I reassemble, any help appreciated.
-- Does anyone do a metal BB, which may be sturdier and get a better joint seal between numerous hoses and BB body ?
-- Can the BB be engineered out and done away with ?
RGUZZ.

There should be no pressure to speak of in the breather box and very little oil.
If you are having issues with leaks you may have the vent hose pinched or restricted.
That would cause pressure to build up and promote leaks.
Or you may be over filling the motor, resulting in excess oil being pumped into the breather box.
Otherwise it should not be hard to keep the breather box from leaking.

My breather boxes have leaked since the day they were new on both the guzzis I have owned. It makes no difference how much/little oil I put. (The manual calls for 3.6 liters with filter change, I put 3 even)

Check the hose connections at the breather box have not cracked or split.
Mine was leaking slightly because the breather hose connector spout was cracked at it's base where it attaches the breather box.
Once this was sealed with some adhesive I have not had any further issues.
