I am looking for side panniers and top box for my 2009 stelvio.
I love the looks of the trax/ guzzi badged panniers but I found the new trekker model bags and top box by givi to be an alternative at a lower price.
Anyone using the givi trekker set up?

I like the looks of the Givi Trekker, but they are plastic with an aluminum 'look.' I am not too sure how rugged they realy are...

I liked the Guzzi bags, but not the price, so I mounted some 36liter Pelican/Storm side cases on Givi racks, as well as a 52 liter top case. The Pelican cases are rugged as can be, lighter than aluminum and easy to pack. They are narrower as well (less than 40 inches wide); I am very pleased with the set up.

These guys specialize in dual sport/off road bikes. We got the luggage for our Quota from them when we had one.

You might contact them about a setup for the Stelvio.

I agree, and have always liked the Happy-Trail set up. I called them when I was looking at options for my bike, and was told they had not plans on developing a system for the Stelvio.

I asked about mounting their boxes on Givi racks, and they said they did NOT recommend their boxes on Givi racks as Givi racks were not substantial enough for aluminum boxes.

Shame, too, as they make a nice system and are priced OK.

Re: Happy Trails racks

Yup, that is a shame. Have had Happy Trails luggage racks on my KTM 990 and BMW Dakar and dropped both..the racks do a great job of protecting the bike. Solid, easy to mount and fairly priced, what more could you ask for? Might drop a note to the folks at Happy and see what they can do.....
