  1. Ciao Guest - we've been proud to harbor such wonderful Guzzisti camaraderie since 2005, for FREE. Times have changed, and so have the attitudes and expectations of far too many. Starting Jan 1, 2020, we will likely be shifting to a paid to participate format. You will still be able to read for free. This should alleviate all of the negativity that the free social media channels have created. If you are a donor or customer of ours, you're in, just use the Contact tab above if your account is not already promoted, or you can Upgrade your account once signed in. Or the Donate tab above is another option. We look forward to continuing this service to the Guzzi community, but it is not cheap or easy to host and maintain. We wish you the best for the Holidays and in the New Year.

MOTO GUZZI V85 TT IS THE QUEEN OF THE 2019 EDITION THAT AIMS TO BREAK THE RECORD OF THE 30 THOUSAND PARTICIPANTS FROM LAST YEAR

THE MANDELLO PLANT OPENS FOR THREE DAYS OF ENTERTAINMENT: MUSIC, TOURS OF THE

FACTORY AND THE MOTO GUZZI MUSEUM, TEST RIDES, TALK SHOWS, TRIPS AND ADVENTURE, RACING, FOOD & BEVERAGES, SHOPPING AND EVERYTHING THAT MAKES YOU LOVE THE MOST FAMOUS EAGLE IN THE WORLD OF MOTORCYCLES

Mandello del Lario, 17 July 2019 - On the first weekend of September, the Moto Guzzi Open House is back. From Friday 6 September through Sunday 8 September, the Mandello del Lario factory will be open to the general public and enthusiasts, with thousands expected from all over the world. The factory is the “eagle's nest”, the birthplace of all Moto Guzzi bikes which have been on roads all over the world since 1921.

The 2018 edition left an indelible memory, shattering every record with 30 thousand participants. And even more indicative of the love that binds Guzzisti to the parent company were the 15 thousand plus people who participated in the 2017 edition which, thwarted by inclement weather, was held in a proper hurricane. These are sincere testimonials of the extraordinary relationship that unites the most genuine motorcyclists with the Larian brand and which binds Moto Guzzi to its territory.

The queen of the 2019 event in Mandello will be the new Moto Guzzi V85 TT, the all-terrain bike that is the big seller this year which is winning over new Guzzisti all over the world and which – it's easy to predict – will be the most sought after bike for the test rides.

As per tradition, Moto Guzzi has prepared a rich schedule of events which will unfold around the Moto Guzzi Village. Music and entertainment will be right in the heart of the Larian factory and it is there where participants will be able to sign up for the test rides which, taken on the roads surrounding Mandello, will feature, in addition to the V85 TT, all of the bikes in the Moto Guzzi range, from the many versions of the V7 III, moving on to the V9 Bobber and Roamer and going all the way to the majestic 1400cc bikes in the California family, including the powerful MGX-21.

Starting on the afternoon of Friday, 6 September, the shop will open up, with all the new apparel and merchandising, as well as the Moto Guzzi Museum, which houses more than 150 bikes that have written the history of one of the most noble brands in global motorcycling. On Saturday morning, tours of the production lines and the historic Wind Tunnel will begin.

At Open House 2019, there will be plenty of talk about travel and adventure thanks to the V85 TT, but also about sport and racing, with the protagonists of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance competition which, in its first edition, has already become a reference trophy in the panorama of the most classic races.

The Official Historic Archive will be available for all those who want to research the documents of origin of their own Moto Guzzi bikes, whereas members of The Clan, the community of bikers who share their love for Moto Guzzi, will have special dedicated services, such as reserved parking, a free check up on their bikes, a welcome kit and discounts on the 2019 Moto Guzzi brand collection

The complete programme is still being finalised and all updates will be available on the official website at www.motoguzzi.com, as well as on the Moto Guzzi social media channels.

I'll do my best to be there, I went at the 2006 GMG after a year of riding my first Guzzi (a V65C) and doing my first long (310 miles) journey.
A beautiful, beautiful experience. All the little town streets were packed with parked Guzzis... more than 16k REGISTERED attending bikes that year... and the town population was just a little over 10.000 :D

The event in Mandello repeats the record attendance of last year and confirms its status as a classic of european motorcycling

Three days of friendship, travel, adventure, test rides and love of bikes

The V85 TT is protagonist of the 2019 edition along with the V7 III machines of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy

Mandello del Lario, 8 September 2019 - 30 thousand participants arrived from all over Europe to celebrate a classic event that has become an absolute must for bike lovers.

From Friday 6 September through Sunday 8 September, the Mandello Moto Guzzi plant was peacefully invaded by bikers and enthusiasts, but also by families and convoys of friends. All in Mandello to celebrate one of the most noble brands of motorcycling, one of the most famous and beloved Italian brands. The three days were filled with love for bikes, friendship, music, travel, adventure and lots of test rides.

As always, the central moment of the Mandello celebration was Saturday, the day when record attendance on a single day was recorded - 20 thousand - and the day that began with the arrival of the “Road to Mandello” convoy, consisting of more than two hundred Guzzisti who had left from Milan to reach the legendary red gates on Via Parodi, the symbol of Moto Guzzi.

The absolute protagonist of the 2019 edition was the Moto Guzzi V85 TT, the all-terrain bike which, after being introduced during this year, is already the brand's best-seller and one of the most admired bikes this season.

The V7 III was one of the bikes most in demand for test rides and also one of the stars, since in 2019 the first edition of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance is being raced, the trophy that places the appropriately outfitted, lightweight, 750cc twin-cylinder on the track. The bikes participating in the Trophy attracted admiring looks from many visitors, while the Fast Endurance riders and teams were in Mandello ahead of the final race which will be held in Misano on 13 October.

Thanks to the partnership with Virgin Radio, the Moto Guzzi Village, set up in the centre of the plant, was the nerve centre of the festival. Special guests were hosted by DJ Ringo on the stage, talking about races, trips and adventures. The test rides departed from the Village, giving more than 400 bikers the chance to test all the models in the Moto Guzzi family on the splendid roads surrounding Lake Como.

The Moto Guzzi Museum, which houses and preserves more than 150 historic models, beginning with the ’50s era racing bikes, including the legendary 8-cylinder 500, was just one of the attractions, as was the wind tunnel, while the assembly lines were invaded by visitors from Friday.

The Moto Guzzi plant in Mandello therefore confirmed its status as a symbolic location in motoring history, one of the most famous in the world. Since 1921, the year it was founded, Moto Guzzis have been manufactured non-stop here. It is a site rich in history that has accompanied Italian industrial development and the global affirmation of the Eagle Brand. Legendary models such as the Falcone, the Galletto, the V7 range, the Le Mans and Imola sport bikes have come from here, all the way up to the modern, brand new and technologically advanced V7 III, V9, V85 TT models and the California 1400 family. And it is here that the competition Moto Guzzis were born, dominating the glory years of motorcycling and winning 15 championship titles (8 rider and 7 manufacturer) in Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing.

I finally got round to sorting through over 400 digital pictures of our recent European Tour/Open House 2019 visit and these unpublished pictures, taken in Mandello on Saturday 7th September, may be of interest to fellow Guzzi enthusiasts.
