Gonna combine two posts here.
I'm gonna be a Gran Dad for the second time!
My first grandson (from my oldest son) is hitting 20 years old & now my 2nd is due this February.
My youngest son is 40, he & his wife have been together since high school!
Never thought they would have children, so it's a big surprise.

2nd part of the post is: Wondering what other folks do when not riding or working?
I've always spent a lot of time out doors & have always been interested in how things were done "back then".
Ever since I was a kid I liked making things & using them.
For awhile in my life I did demonstrations at native Pow Wows & other events teaching about primitive tools.
Here are some pics: Fish Traps, Fish gigs & spears, pump drill, fish hooks (gorges) & lures, Atlatal's. IMG 0015 IMG 0017 IMG 0019 IMG 0020 IMG 0024 IMG 0025 IMG 0046 IMG 0058 IMG 0060 IMG 0061 IMG 0066 IMG 0070 IMG 0080 IMG 0081 IMG 0086 IMG 0087 IMG 0098

Congratulations on the second grandchild.
I keep bees. I've begged space in a couple of friends' orchards, and have hives on top of the WWll air raid shelter in my garden. Having them up there means I can use the garden without them disturbing me, or me them.
I understand that there were shelters shared between every four houses in my street, though there are only two left now. Very thick brickwork, concrete roof and a narrow door. It wouldn't have withstood a direct hit, but would protect against a bomb dropping nearby. There was an aircraft factory where the Leeds/Bradford Airport is now, and Leeds was quite a target, though not to the same extent as Hull or Sheffield.
I've widened the door and put a window in to make it more useable as a garden shed.

Very nice!
Bee keeping has always interested me probably because I like honey so much.
Never thought about putting the hives up high, pretty cool.
