Hi!

Please help me out with a simple question...probably.

While opening and cleaning the Griso 1200 8V air box I noticed that there was at the top front end two intake joints and one of them was connected with hose. Another intake joint was without hose connected.

These two joints should be connected with hoses, right?

After looking closely I noticed that there was another loose end hose under the fuel tank (quite short).
Should it be also connected to the air box?
Cause there is 2x intake joints on the air box and they should be connected with hoses, right?

Thanks!

Thanks!
I did that. It will lead to the expansion box? If I named it right.
I traced it to the front end of the fuel tank.
By the way, the hose itself was oily.

My concern was that if there is a joint in the air box what should be sealed tight, then there shouldn't be any free openings, right?

An oily air box usually means that you might be overfilling the sump. Fill to only half-way, and see if it improves.

All breathing should be done through the filter, but if there's a small gap, I wouldn't worry. You could try applying sealing tape around the joins if you want to get real anal about it.

Thanks!
There was just a little bit oil at the bottom of the air box and it didn't look fresh. Oil level in the sump is OK. So I think it has been there for a while.

So the extra breathing hose coming from flow-by tank, what wasn't connected to the air box, should be re-connected with the air box?

Correct, no opening into the air box should be open. There is a routing scheme on the parts diagram to follow.
