Well he says 68 engine in a 70 Special frame. Its about 65 miles from me. Missing one carburetor/magneto.
As the story goes he repainted the bike & someone stole these Items. My question, is it worth looking at? The title is lost & I dont like buying without one. But sometimes a mans gotta do what ever it takes. I only had one Guzzi back in around 1988. Ex-wife didn't like the bike so she said get something else. Bought a 84 Honda Interstate & kept 12 yrs. Think the Guzzi will look good next to my 1969 R69S BMW. Not sure about the right side shifting tho. So a none runner for $2500 or less. Pictures look good. What should the old man look for......

Thanks, now thats encouraging. Even when Im doing all my own work? I was a mechanic for 20 yrs in the USAF ya know?

I wondered about the magneto, E bay said they had one but what do they know? He advertised for $5000 so I looked at Nada & way to much. So I offered $2500 to at least look at it. May not even like it. Was looking for a winter project. Almost done with my 71 Super Beetle.

Just looked at the Guzzi. All in bits stuff in a cardboard box. Generator/one carb missing. No key, sw. flopping around. Paint was good allover, nice tank, clean inside. In a metal shed for 3 yrs. no oil dipstick. Whole wire harness in box with hand grips. Went home without.

Wise decision.
