Hi everyone. Are they really good helmets for that price or it is better to buy something else?
You are paying for the helmet and the brand, so it isn't exactly the most value for your dollar. But they aren't bad helmets.
I, like motoguzziman, would not ride wearing an open face helmet. If I rode wearing an open face helmet I would be one fugly looking dude by now. Helmets save lives, full face helmets save faces.
I am a fan of buying the best helmet you can afford. Then, if you need some styling added because it does not have the looks you want either add some stickers or have it painted.I have even painted my own helmets in the past. But you do need to be careful painting helmets, the paint should never be allowed to come in contact with the liner of the helmet. An easier option is to add some stripes with vinyl decals. They even sell reflective sets that let you dress a helmet up.

Recently bought a Guzzi Carbon half-face for those very hot days. I already have an Arai and Shark full face, of which, both are medium. The Guzzi helmet size is very different as it is XL and it fits.

I’m not keen on the ratchet type fastener. Much prefer the Double D strap type.

I always buy from a shop as there’s no taking chances that it will fit. There’s also Head shape to consider - some folks are ‘Arai heads’ and others are ‘Shoei heads’.

Can’t believe I survived all those years when it wasn’t illegal not to wear one.

:D

I bought this Guzzi helmet about two years ago because it matched my V7III Special perfectly, but I won't wear it. I wear full-face modulars.

I ordered it from Italy, and I think, with shipping, it cost something like $280. It is not worth $280. It states on a tag inside the helmet that it is not legal for US roads. The cheekpiece pads are some kind of thin, cheap, padded plastic material. It has one of those questionable ratchet-style strap systems, like others here, I prefer the 'Double D' type.

I ordered it in 2X, but they sent an XL. Being international, I didn't bother with the hassle of sending it back, so it lives in it's carton on a bedroom closet shelf.

But it sure looks great on the V7's seat.

The retro helmets have, IMO, undeniable charm.

But, as others here, cannot imagine wearing anything but a FF or modular.

Here’s why:

OBTW, a “used” helmet makes an interesting plinking target. Interestingly, all that shock absorbent material absorbed my Beretta’s .40 cal rounds without twitching!

Ah yes, casual plinking. I have plinked many things in my time. TVs, BBQs, 1980 Pontiac Phoenix etc. My weapon of choice was usually a semi-auto 12 gauge loaded with slugs or SSG. Though a 7.62 SKS semi-auto makes short work of most inanimate objects!

I wanted the Moto Guzzi Sport helmet, but the price was sorta hard to swallow.

Update: The NZI Rolling United helmet is backordered from the factory with no ETA. Therefore, I decided to purchase the Scorpion Belfast helmet in Matte Blue Metallic instead. I found an excellent price and it's a better helmet, as it has a hand-laid fiberglass shell and hand-stitched Nappa leather.
